Jet Sledge powered by Wren MW54

January 31st, 2011 No comments

5 Years ago, we bolted my friends MW54 KM2 Jet to an old sledge. I’ve only just managed to get round to uploading this onto youtube (Some 5 years later! Wheres time go eh ?!?) Anyway… This video shows the startup, two test runs, and shutdown of the engine. Including a minor crash – thankfully no damage was done as one of the metal clamps took the brunt of the impact (hit a brick building at around 5-10 mph) The engine was built by Peter and myself at an open day at Wren Turbines on 18 April 2004. (Video footage of this engine build / open day to follow shortly) Please check out my other videos, and feel free to have a look at my personal website www.ijdonline.co.uk where you will find more interesting photos, videos, projects and more!

S107 RC Helicopter

Basically this is a ELECTRIC jet based engine for a rc vehicle. this is not a toy, as such i do not advise you to try making one. this is because during the build i electrocuted myself and was thrown across the room. not fun. :| but hey it sorta works now just a few tweakkks needed :D :D :D . (zombie pie man ftw)
